INTRODUCING...

Miss Emily Mairin Keith, born 21 November 2008, at 12:33pm 7 lbs 8 oz, 19 and 1/2 inches.

Here's details of the day...  Papa, MP & I got to Grammy & Poppy's house to drop off MP (they were going to meet us at the hospital later).  I cried when we left MP mostly because I am hormonal, and mostly because... well you know why.  And if you don't  you must not have any kids yet.

I'm not going to be able to be on here long, so I am posting just one pic and will get to the rest soon.  Just went through about 48 hours of cluster feeding, and if you have breast fed before, you know how crazy tired you can be.  I think I am delirious.

Anyway, we get to the hospital an hour early and we have to wait.  Haha, I was too anxious.  Anyway, got my spinal, and they yanked her out.  Literally...  nothing too crazy happened... we are both well... and Memmy is healthy!

Thanks for all the well wishes, and I promise we will be in touch soon...

love
MAMA, PAPA, MP & Memmy

New Baby & Moving Day...

Hi everyone!  I think, this is going to be my last post until the baby is born.  Also, yesterday   Yesterday, I posted about our trip to Disneyland if anyone cares.  Hehe.
I have about 3 weeks left, our scheduled C-Section is November 21.  It's kind of nice knowing it will either be soon, or November 21.  Instead of waiting, and waiting and feeling like Jabba in Papa's old PT Gear because it was the only thing that fit me.  I kinda have the luxury of controlling when stuff happens.  Anyway, we are embarking on a Star Trek-like adventure for our family in the next few weeks... with an addition to the family and a big move about 3 days after I get out of the hospital.

Yep.  We are crazy.

We have been on a waiting list for a bigger apartment at our complex for a few months now, and there was a scheduled move in March.  But this cool one came up, and we couldn't pass it up.  A friend of mine, who is very intuitive, told me at our wedding, that no matter what happens, our life together is never going to be boring.  And he was right.

Anyway, I am spending the next few weekends giving stuff away, getting ready for the big move and getting ready for the baby.  If any of you want to come over and help us move... let me know, we will have pizza and beer rewards for anyone nice enough.  We are hiring movers, so the big stuff should be taken care of.

Signing out... much love to everyone.  =)

Disneyland & The Grand Californian

With the upcoming baby- (November 21st is our Scheduled Birthday! =) ) and the move, and the Holidays... and with the travel gods shining on us with a pretty cheap vacation opportunity, we decided our little family of three would celebrate our life together and go to the Happiest Place on Earth. We stayed at the Grand Californian- which ended up being one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in... even nicer than the Hyatt in Berlin with it's heated bathroom tiles and fancy whole fruit arrangements. Sunday was Miley Cyrus's Birthday and all over our hotel there were celebs walking around like Dr. Drew & who I thought was Howard Stern and then realized it was Gene Simmon's son... he was SUPER tall.
Anyway, we decided to skip the park because the park operation hours were screwy and hang out the hotel, where we enjoyed pizza by the pool the whole day. MP enjoyed juice snacks, and three different pools with Papa, while I got in a few times in my new and very blue maternity swim suit. ("There's no air in there... that's juice!")
The next day, before we went to the park we went to our character breakfast which was in the Storytellers Cafe and we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast buffet- of pancakes, bacon, Mickey Mouse waffles and everything else you can possibly think of for breakfast food. We saw the characters from Brother Bear, Brer Bear, & Chip N Dale. I don't know at that point who was more excited to see Brer Bear- Papa or Mini Peaves. As you can see by the pictures, Papa's smile is bigger.
Anyway, MP is big enough to enjoy the rides and we rode them all. Of course "MIMMO" was the highlight of the visit to the park.
Our last day we ordered room-service for breakfast and went to California Adventure which had some cool stuff, like the Monsters Inc Ride and Turtle Talk with Crush (anothe MIMMO thing). All in all, I would say the trip itself was one of the fondest memories I have of our family outings and I know we will have more. But I love my pumpkins both big and small.

It's The Little Things...

I am REALLY excited about this new HUGE Target store that is opening up by our house. It's been closed for like 6 months and now they are opening it on October 12. WOOHOO!

Miss MP now uses the phrase "bye-bye" when she want to dismiss someone- as in, "go away." She watches "Finding Nemo" twice a day. And she responds by yes and no, and mostly- you have to guess by asking her 20 questions. For instance if she has an owie...

MP: OWWWWW!
Me or Papa: Do you want a baba?
MP: No.
M or P: Are you hungry?
MP: No.
M or P: Are you thirsty?
MP: No.
M or P: Do you want water?
MP: No.
M or P: do you want juice?
MP: No.
M or P: Do you want to lay down?
MP: YES!

Sometimes, this goes on for awhile... it's kinda funny, but kinda frustrating when you get mad at yourself for not thinking about it sooner. We have decided on the gifts the girls are going to give each other on the day of introduction.

We have a scheduled c-section for November 21st!! This is when we all get to meet the little buggle.

Next: our trip to Disneyland.

Crib to Toddler Bed.

My baby is growing. Waah.  Papa and I thought I was ready for MP to go from her crib to her toddler bed, which essentially is taking the big rail out of her crib and giving her a pillow, since she ends up hogging ours anyway.  That, and with little new mim coming in 8 short weeks or less, we thought she could get used to the idea.  And I could get used to the idea.  So, I put on "Finding Mimmo," and a bowl of Cheerios,  and Papa started his job of looking for the lifetime crib parts and that little allen wrench you hope you didn't throw away.

Unfortunately, we found all the right parts, and the plank to change it.  This lifetime crib is great, and we plan on getting Little Miss Trouble her own lifetime crib as well.  It goes from Crib, to Toddler Bed to Full Size Bed... so by the time this graduates from High School she will have the same thing.  Anyway, MP was more interested in Mimmo than her bed, I finally had to stop the DVD and carry her to the other room where her newly-transformed crib was.  Her reaction?  Curious... tried climbing in and out of it, laid down in it stiffly, liked the jungle sheets we got her and started pointing out all the animals she knew.  I tried to keep it together and sniffed loudly a few times.  Papa looked a little pale.  I thought it was 'cuz he dropped the VERY heavy oak rail on both his feet.  Turns out, he was feelin' the "baby's growing up" thing too.  So, MP has been in her new big-kid bed for 2 1/2 hours now, and we lined the ground with cushions all around.  Oh, and the drop is only about 18 inches.  I am fine.  She fell off once and didn't even wake up.
So, uhhh... I'm sitting here, right next to her.  Hopefully I will be able to sleep tonight.

Update: 6:22 am.  I survived.  MP rolled off, like 9 times throughout the night.  She didn't wake up any of the 9 times.
