New Baby & Moving Day...

Hi everyone!  I think, this is going to be my last post until the baby is born.  Also, yesterday   Yesterday, I posted about our trip to Disneyland if anyone cares.  Hehe.
I have about 3 weeks left, our scheduled C-Section is November 21.  It's kind of nice knowing it will either be soon, or November 21.  Instead of waiting, and waiting and feeling like Jabba in Papa's old PT Gear because it was the only thing that fit me.  I kinda have the luxury of controlling when stuff happens.  Anyway, we are embarking on a Star Trek-like adventure for our family in the next few weeks... with an addition to the family and a big move about 3 days after I get out of the hospital.

Yep.  We are crazy.

We have been on a waiting list for a bigger apartment at our complex for a few months now, and there was a scheduled move in March.  But this cool one came up, and we couldn't pass it up.  A friend of mine, who is very intuitive, told me at our wedding, that no matter what happens, our life together is never going to be boring.  And he was right.

Anyway, I am spending the next few weekends giving stuff away, getting ready for the big move and getting ready for the baby.  If any of you want to come over and help us move... let me know, we will have pizza and beer rewards for anyone nice enough.  We are hiring movers, so the big stuff should be taken care of.

Signing out... much love to everyone.  =)

Disneyland & The Grand Californian

With the upcoming baby- (November 21st is our Scheduled Birthday! =) ) and the move, and the Holidays... and with the travel gods shining on us with a pretty cheap vacation opportunity, we decided our little family of three would celebrate our life together and go to the Happiest Place on Earth. We stayed at the Grand Californian- which ended up being one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in... even nicer than the Hyatt in Berlin with it's heated bathroom tiles and fancy whole fruit arrangements. Sunday was Miley Cyrus's Birthday and all over our hotel there were celebs walking around like Dr. Drew & who I thought was Howard Stern and then realized it was Gene Simmon's son... he was SUPER tall.
Anyway, we decided to skip the park because the park operation hours were screwy and hang out the hotel, where we enjoyed pizza by the pool the whole day. MP enjoyed juice snacks, and three different pools with Papa, while I got in a few times in my new and very blue maternity swim suit. ("There's no air in there... that's juice!")
The next day, before we went to the park we went to our character breakfast which was in the Storytellers Cafe and we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast buffet- of pancakes, bacon, Mickey Mouse waffles and everything else you can possibly think of for breakfast food. We saw the characters from Brother Bear, Brer Bear, & Chip N Dale. I don't know at that point who was more excited to see Brer Bear- Papa or Mini Peaves. As you can see by the pictures, Papa's smile is bigger.
Anyway, MP is big enough to enjoy the rides and we rode them all. Of course "MIMMO" was the highlight of the visit to the park.
Our last day we ordered room-service for breakfast and went to California Adventure which had some cool stuff, like the Monsters Inc Ride and Turtle Talk with Crush (anothe MIMMO thing). All in all, I would say the trip itself was one of the fondest memories I have of our family outings and I know we will have more. But I love my pumpkins both big and small.

It's The Little Things...

I am REALLY excited about this new HUGE Target store that is opening up by our house. It's been closed for like 6 months and now they are opening it on October 12. WOOHOO!

Miss MP now uses the phrase "bye-bye" when she want to dismiss someone- as in, "go away." She watches "Finding Nemo" twice a day. And she responds by yes and no, and mostly- you have to guess by asking her 20 questions. For instance if she has an owie...

MP: OWWWWW!
Me or Papa: Do you want a baba?
MP: No.
M or P: Are you hungry?
MP: No.
M or P: Are you thirsty?
MP: No.
M or P: Do you want water?
MP: No.
M or P: do you want juice?
MP: No.
M or P: Do you want to lay down?
MP: YES!

Sometimes, this goes on for awhile... it's kinda funny, but kinda frustrating when you get mad at yourself for not thinking about it sooner. We have decided on the gifts the girls are going to give each other on the day of introduction.

We have a scheduled c-section for November 21st!! This is when we all get to meet the little buggle.

Next: our trip to Disneyland.
